The California Council on Economic Education (CCEE) is a statewide organization that promotes economic and personal financial literacy. CCEE programs revolve around nine basic economic principles and incorporate CA State Standards. It offers workshops, lesson plans and support for K-12 teachers.
Formerly the National Council on Economic Education, CEE is a nationwide network that leads in promoting economic literacy. The site offers comprehensive K-12 economic and personal finance education programs, professional development opportunities for teachers and nationally-normed assessment instruments.
California Association of School Economics Teachers
The California Association of School Economics Teachers (CASET) is an organization of educators promoting the effective teaching of economic principles in grades K-12. Each year a conference is held providing teachers with the opportunity to share in their economic knowledge and gain new classroom teaching ideas/strategies.
Annual Conference Date: Middle/End of October
The Foundation offers workshops for high school educators and students. The site includes workshop dates, locations, and registration information, as well as resources, activities, and lesson plans for teaching economics.
CCSS is a non-profit professional organization serving both public and private school educators, and is the leading voice for quality social studies education in California. They are committed to the strengthening and teaching of the social studies discipline though professional development, public awareness and collaboration at local, state and national levels.

The National Association of Economic Educators (NAEE) is a professional association of economic educators. Its primary goal is promoting the quality and quantity of economic education in our nation’s K-12 schools by providing professional development opportunities for educators.

The National Council on the Social Studies (NCSS) engages and supports educators in strengthening and advocating social studies. NCSS serves as an umbrella organization for elementary, secondary, and college teachers of history, geography, economics, political science, sociology, psychology, anthropology, and law-related education.

Jump$tart is a national coalition of organizations dedicated to improving the financial literacy of pre-kindergarten through college-age youth by providing advocacy, research, standards and educational resources. Jump$tart consists of a network of 49 affiliated state coalitions and their local partners.

California Jump Start Coalition is affiliated with the National Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. The mission of the California Jump$tart Coalition is to improve the personal financial literacy of California’s youth by helping the personal finance education community become more connected, effective, and powerful and by supporting the implementation of personal finance education at every level from K-12th grades.
