Financial Smart$ for Educators

The San Diego Center for Economic Education at Cuyamaca College offers free personal financial literacy sessions for teachers and staff within CalSTRS and CalPERS. These sessions involve single or multiple financial literacy topics taught by accounting instructors for full and part-time teachers and support staff with no sales pitch at the end. Topics have included Investing and Retirement, and Homeownership and Taxes, or others as requested. All participants are provided financial literacy materials from the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. These sessions are available in person or virtually. Depending on the time and duration, snacks or a meal when offered in person.
